Hello   A Christmas Prayer of Good Wishes   Hi
May you be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the determination of the magi, and the peace of the Christ child. Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit bless you now and forever. Amen

Hello   A Humble Christmas Prayer   Hi
God, our Creator, we offer this humble prayer on Christmas Day. We come to worship with a song of thanks in our hearts—a song of redemption, a song of hope and renewal. We pray for joy in our hearts, hope in our God, love to forgive, and peace upon the earth. We ask for the salvation of all our family members and friends, and we pray your blessings on all people. May there be bread for the hungry, love for the unlovable, healing for the sick, protection for our children, and wisdom for our youth. We pray for the forgiveness of sinners and abundant life in Christ. Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with your love and power. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Hello   The Christmas Prayer of Pope John XXII    Hi
O sweet Child of Bethlehem, grant that we may share with all our hearts in this profound mystery of Christmas. Put into the hearts of men and women this peace for which they sometimes seek so desperately and which you alone can give to them. Help them to know one another better, and to live as brothers and sisters, children of the same Father. Reveal to them also your beauty, holiness, and purity. Awaken in their hearts love and gratitude for your infinite goodness. Join them all together in your love. And give us your heavenly peace. Amen.

Hello   Advent has begun...   Hi
The term "Advent" comes from the Latin language meaning "arrival." The holiday's purpose and meaning are to look ahead to the coming of Christ to Earth, the birth of Jesus. Christ’s arrival brought the dawn of a new covenant and salvation, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). This is really what the Christmas season is all about. It’s the holiday of the ADVENT of a new age in Jesus’ life and sacrifice for the redemption of mankind. Through prayer, we can connect with God’s grace and love in asking Him to ready our hearts as He prepared all of history to receive the gift of His Son. Pray to the Father for focus and devotion during Advent to cut away the distractions and make your life a place of warmth and faith. Please help us and celebrate the arrival and glory of Christ!
Pray with me:
This Advent, Lord, come to the manger of my heart. Fill me with Your presence from the very start. As I prepare for the holidays and gifts to be given, Remind me of the gift You gave when You sent Your Son from Heaven. The first Christmas gift, it was the greatest gift ever. You came as a baby born in a manger. Wrapped like the gifts I find under my tree, Waiting to be opened, to reveal Your love to me. Restore to me the wonder that came with Jesus' birth, When He left the riches of Heaven and wrapped Himself in rags of earth. Immanuel, God with us, Your presence came that night. And angels announced, "Into your darkness, God brings His Light." "Do not be afraid," they said, to shepherds in the field. Speak to my heart today, Lord, and help me to yield. Make me like those shepherd boys, obedient to Your call. Setting distractions and worries aside, to You I surrender them all. Surround me with Your presence, Lord, I long to hear Your voice. Clear my mind of countless concerns and all the holiday noise. Slow me down this Christmas, let me not be in a rush. In the midst of parties and planning, I want to feel Your hush. This Christmas, Jesus, come to the manger of my heart. Invade my soul like Bethlehem, bringing peace to every part. Dwell within and around me, as I unwrap Your presence each day. Keep me close to You, Lord. It's in Your wonderful Name I pray.
Amen

Hello   Easter Sunday 2019   Hi
Hallelujah!
Jesus is risen!
He is risen indeed!

May this declaration
resound not only in these walls
but touch the lives
of all we meet
and forever be
the truth of which we speak.
Your love,
once sown within a garden,
tended for your own people,
neglected and rejected,
now spreads its sweet perfume
in this place
and wherever it is shown.

Hallelujah!
Jesus is risen!
He is risen indeed!

Thank you Heavenly Father for giving us your only Begotten Son - In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Hello   Prayer for Summer   Hi
Glory be to God...
for clear blue skies and sunny days
for fresh green grass and leafy trees
for vivid purple flowers and well-tended gardens
for fluffy white clouds and gentle breezes
for bright red buses and busy streets

Glory be to God...
for people stepping out with sandaled feet
for children playing games with delighted squeals
for picnics and street parties
for street traders and market stalls
for long days and short nights
for open-topped buses and open-necked shirts.

Glory be to God...
for seasons
for summer
for sunshine
and for you -
Amen

Hello   Prayer for the U.S.A.   Hi
God our Father, Giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care.
You are the rock on which this nation was founded.
You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.
Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation´s leaders.
Open their minds to the great worth of human life
and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your will.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate,
Patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the "culture of death."
Lead us into a new millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.

Amen

Hello   Grant this   Hi
ALMIGHTY God, who alone gravest us the breath of life, and alone canst keep alive in us the holy desires thou dost impart; We beseech thee, for thy compassion's sake, to sanctify all our thoughts and endeavors; that we may neither begin an action without a pure intention nor continue it without thy blessing. And grant that, having the eyes of the mind opened to behold things invisible and unseen, we may in heart be inspired by thy wisdom, and in work be upheld by thy strength, and in the end be accepted of thee as thy faithful servants; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Hello   Prayer for The Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy   Hi
Lord Jesus Christ, we ask your blessings on all those who are ill or suffering and those who care for them. Bless also those whose chosen vocation is health care. May the Virgin Mary, our Mother, turn her eyes of mercy towards us, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace.

We pray for those who are sick, asking for more than their physical health; we ask for them to have peace, the gift of the Holy Spirit. We pray that every hospital, nursing home and place of care become a visible sign and setting in which to promote the culture of encounter and peace.

"Comfort, O comfort, my people," called the prophet Isaiah.
You came to the help of those in difficulty and need. You healed many people of illnesses, infirmities and evil spirits. You gave sight to the blind, made the lame walk, restored health and dignity to outcasts, raised the dead and proclaimed the good news to the poor. Help those who are suffering to draw nearer to you.

Endow with tenderness those who attend the sick and understand their needs.
We pray that our human efforts can express the divine. Your hands broke bread for those who were hungry, touched the sick and healed them. We can be hands, arms and hearts which help to perform miracles, so often hidden.

We trust that this Jubilee year may bring dialogue with other noble religious traditions,
so that we might know and understand one another better. May it eliminate every form of closed-mindedness and disrespect, drive out every form of violence and discrimination.

We ask this of you Lord Jesus, through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Mercy; who
lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.

Hello   Prayer for the End of Human Trafficking   Hi
A Prayer for the End of Human Trafficking
As shared by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, N.J.

God of freedom, beauty and truth
we believe that your deepest desire,
your most powerful energy,
is that all creation might know abundant life.

We raise our voices in anguished prayer
for our sisters and brothers,
women and girls, men and boys,
who are modern day slaves;
They are your beloved daughters and sons,
exploited sexually or forced to work
because of human violence and greed.

Fill us with your holy anger and your sacred passion
that those who are trafficked might know healing and justice;
that traffickers will come to repentance and conversion;
that all of us might live in such a way
that others are not made to pay the price
for our comfort and convenience.

Hasten the coming of the day when all people
and our precious Earth itself
will be treated, not as a commodity,
but as radiant images of your freedom, beauty and truth.
Amen. May it be so.

Hello   Dear Children   Hi
O Heavenly Father, I commend my children to Thy care. Be Thou their God and Father; and mercifully supply whatever is lacking in me through frailty or negligence. Strengthen them to overcome the corruptions of the world, whether from within or without; and deliver them from the secret snares of the enemy. Pour Thy grace into their hearts, and strengthen and multiply in them the gifts of Thy Holy Spirit, that they may daily grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ; and so, faithfully serving Thee here, may come to rejoice in Thy presence hereafter. Amen.

Hello   A HUMAN TRAFFICKING PRAYER   Hi
Scripture Reading: John 3:19-21
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because
their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear
that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be
seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Today is a day of prayer for those who are tempted to exploit others for their own sexual gratification.
Pray for the “Johns” that are hurting others and hurting themselves. Pray that God would change their
hearts, pierce their consciences, and bring about deep repentance. Pray that the darkness of their hearts
and their actions might be brought into the light, that their shameful deeds done in secret might be
exposed so that more victims are not harmed.
God of Love, God of Peace
This fractured world
Cries out in pain
Burns deep into my soul
And challenges me
To make a difference
God of Love, God of Peace
God of this world
Scarred by grief and tears
Ignorance and fear
Soften hearts of stone
And begin with mine
God of Love, God of Peace
Create within me
A heart for people
A desire for change
For new beginnings
To start this day, AMEN

Hello   A HUMAN TRAFFICKING PRAYER   Hi
Scripture Reading: Micah 6:6-8
6 With what shall I come before the LORD
and bow down before the exalted God?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousand rivers of olive oil?
Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Today is a day of prayer for the efforts to raise public awareness and to reach out to and protect victims of
human trafficking. Pray for those who tirelessly give to fight this injustice. Pray for their strength, for
their health, for their families. Pray for the success of their endeavors and for the provision of resources
needed to accomplish their work. Pray for God to raise up more men and women who are passionate
about the cause.
Lord, thank you for being a God of love, who selflessly surrendered to death by crucifixion for the sake of
sinful men and women like us. Thank you, Maker of Life, that you were not bound by death but that you
rose again on the third day. Thank you that you have made us your children, heirs to the promise of new
life, and that our lives here on this earth can bring you glory. Direct us away from selfish indifference and
toward selfless action. Cause us to move and live and give and act as you direct your Body. May
thousands, millions, tens of millions – dare we pray- billions of lives be impacted as your people discover
more of the role we have to play in our world. Come quickly, Lord. But until you do, teach us to live lives
worthy of the calling you have given us. Amen.

Hello   A HUMAN TRAFFICKING PRAYER   Hi
Scripture Reading: Psalm 72:4-5, 12-14
4 May he defend the afflicted among the people
and save the children of the needy;
may he crush the oppressor.
5 May he endure as long as the sun,
as long as the moon, through all generations.
12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out,
the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy
and save the needy from death.
14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence,
for precious is their blood in his sight.

Today is a day of prayer for the victims of human trafficking. Pray for the safety of those who are trapped
in the bonds of slavery. Pray that God would be near to them in their suffering and bring them comfort
and provision. Pray that God would hear their cries and liberate them from the hands of their oppressors.
Pray that God would set them on a path toward restoration and healing.
O God, our words cannot express what our minds can barely comprehend and our hearts feel when we
hear of women and children deceived and transported to unknown places for purposes of sexual
exploitation and abuse because of human greed and profit at this time in our world. Our hearts are
saddened and our spirits angry that their dignity and rights are being transgressed through threats,
deception, and force.
We cry out against the degrading practice of trafficking and pray for it to end. Strengthen the fragilespirited
and broken-hearted. Make real your promises to fill these women and children with a love that is
tender and good and send the exploiters away empty handed. Give us the wisdom and courage to stand in
solidarity with them, that together we will find ways to the freedom that is your gift to all of us. In
Christ’s name, Amen.
